I was reading today about a lady who is an art major which is artificially inseminated herself as often as possible. Then she takes drugs to induce a miscarriage. After having these miscarriages she then preserves the collections of blood as well as the videos which she takes of these miscarriages. What's she going to do with them? Put them on display in an exhibit.
To me this is far from art. I don't know why you would put your body through this. I am not one to believe that just because the egg is fertilized that it is automatically a baby, but to me this is a waste of a fertilized egg and someone that wants a baby can't get pregnant but this lady can keep getting it and having miscarriages. What the heck is the sense in this? This isn't art! You can read the article here.
Edit: It turns out that this was a hoax. Thank god!!

Glad you edited to show this was a hoax. I was thinking the same thing as you. What is the matter with people?

Totally agree...if anything, this is documentary, but it's destructive of the human body...nothing is even being recorded for the sake of art :\
