My hand at homemaking

I've been having a lot of fun with my current sim family. They are the Younces. I have no idea how I came up with that last name, but I did. Anyway, in the beginning it was Patricia and Barbara. Then their family grew to having Patricia's new husband. Three people were alright in the house that they currently had.

While out in the garden Barbara became a PlantSim. My first PlantSim too! Well, while fooling around with her she produced a spore! Four people in their current house was a stretch. Especially since I was planning on turning both PlantSims back into regular Sims but they needed their own beds (PlantSims don't sleep! Fun fact!).

I checked to see how much money they had as a household ($90k!) and off to make a big house. I made this house:

Keeping my eye on the cost of the house and not furnishing kept costs down. They were able to move into the house with about 7k to buy the essentials. Right now they have finished the kitchen and began working on the downstairs bathroom. I haven't taken screenies of that though! I will tonight! So this was my first seriously made house that I spent a long time on. I think it looks nice.

Been playing the Castaway Stories this weekend. My first forays into the standalone versions of the life story series. I am not sure I like it as The Sims 2 series. I have purchased every expansion pack that came out since college. I have my whole collection of The Sims (original), that I really do not know what to do with it. Maybe it might become a collector's item on ebay in a few years.

This post reminds me of my good naive days of playing SIM. Fun factor was really fun back then. But nowadays you can try a more interactive SIM-like type of game by playing Google Lively.

It's really new and you might want to try it out. Just sharing

wow..reading this entry makes me want to try my hand at sims again! i did try playing that (well, that was a long time ago).. but i was never good at it and felt like i never will be..

it's such a fun game though and when i see ads and posts like this, i seriously want to play again.. keep us posted on what's happening to your sim family, i'm sure it'll be a fun read for everyone, including myself.. cheers!

I never really got in to the sims. I loved sim city, but for some reason, the sims just didn't do it for me...

Yeah, why don't they make an updated version of Sim City? I had a lot of fun playing that game. The few times I played the Sims it wasn't as much fun. I guess that is what happens when your Sim catches on fire and dies while cooking!

I thought they had made an updated Sim City? Maybe I'm imagining things though! Who knows!

When your sim catches on fire and dies when they cook is the best thing! If your sim has family then they get inheritance!
