Today in the mail was my notice that I had been given $300 for the stimulus payment. Well of course I had a previous balance with the IRS and they took the whole stimulus and placed it towards the balance of my debt. I called up today just to see how much more I owed. I was expecting something near $100 because that is just my luck of course.

After spending about 15 minutes on hold (hey that's pretty good!) they guy came back to tell me my balance. It was $7.92. That's it. That's all. So of course I asked, "That's it?!" because I was expecting a lot more. I asked him about paying with a debit/credit card and he pointed me in the right direction. $1 for a "convenience" fee for paying online and I am now debt free!

I think this is cause for a celebration!

My mom was bringing up quite a few questions about what to have to eat on Independence day this Friday. Of course everyone spouts of the regular hamburger, hot dogs, macaroni and potato salad. All the good stuff that you would normally eat on that day. I am having a chicken breast though. It'll be good. They'll be buying the fireworks as well. I don't know why they waste money on that stuff. You are literally burning your money up. I mean, that money could be better used some other way. Like buying my computer some ram that is so desperately needs. Any takers?

This morning we went on our walk at a pretty good time. It was still slightly chilly out and rather nice to walk in. I wasn't hot in the slightest. The cool breeze can be thanked for that. While we were at the park today we saw a carcass there. Of course Ruby pointed it out as she was sniffing and rolling in it (gross!). It was a turtle. Someone had found it in the river and I don't know what they did to it. Maybe it was an animal that found it, I don't know. Poor little turtle, or big rather, from the piece of tail that was left there he looked rather big in size.

I have no desire to do much today. It's the weekend, why should I? There isn't much to do. I guess that is why it is a slow day. My brother said that some New York Strip steak is on sale at the store he works at and the pieces of meat aren't that expensive. I'm thinking about having that for dinner tonight. A nice steak sounds delicious. I should remind Jamie to look into truck accident lawyers for my ex-step dad. He's always getting into some accident or another and is in need of it. Nice topic change. From steaks to lawyers.

I have noticed that cupcakes have become quite popular as of lately. It's crazy because a cupcake isn't something that you would think would be super elegant or used for weddings, but they are and they look gorgeous. Looking at the cupcakes online and what people can do with them makes me want to cook them and try it out! I have found a fondant recipe and I have the cake kit that my mom bought that would work fantastic for frosting cupcakes. So, I was thinking that tomorrow I would have a go at making some cupcakes for fun. Really awesome cupcakes! Who knows, maybe it'll be a fantastic hobby I can get into!

As time has progressed and the current day has become history we have been graced in our lives (or your ancestors) with great magicians in our times and times before us. There have been many people who have loved magic so much and have tempted fate and their lives for it. Magic is still to this day something that brings awe and excitement to even the oldest of people.

Such past great magicians such as Harry Houdini had very different skills than the magicians of these current times. A current magician that is similar but very different at the same time to Houdini is Criss Angel. Criss Angel has made quite the name for himself for having several shows. Some of Broadway and some on television. All which were amazing and I watched a good amount of them.

You can now find Criss Angel in his Cirque Du Soleil performance which is called CRISS ANGEL Believe. This is at the Luxor Hotel in Las Vegas. In fact, they are holding a contest where you can win a couple of tickets to go see Criss Angel perform at his new show. For the contest all you have to do is text 'Believe' to 22122.
