It has been a little while since I have thought of a couple things that I would like to get for Christmas. This year I actually have things I would like. There is one thing that I would really like to get or have someone get me. It is quite expensive though! In fact, I would not mind if this is the only thing that I received for Christmas! I would like to get the 5-qt. Artisan Series Stand Mixer from KitchenAid! I found it for a pretty good price at Buy.com and they even have some sales on a lot of their products.

In fact, Buy.com has a lot of the things that my husband wants for Christmas as well. I could do a lot of my Christmas shopping at this website and save some money in the process! Oh, the reason I really really really want a KitchenAid mixer? Since I have been baking a lot then I think it just makes sense that I get a "big girl" mixer of some kind. I currently do have one of the hand mixers though that works great. It has a stand that I can stick it on but it just is not the same. I will be the happiest person in the world if I was to get a KitchenAid mixer. Of course, there are other things that I would like to get but this is the main thing. Everything this year is based around baking and cooking though. It's weird how your tastes totally change within a year. Maybe it's growing up or maybe it's becoming a different person. I don't know. I don't mind either.

Well today is Colton's bitrhday and boy am I glad! I've been itching to bake something for the entire week but have been holding off for his birthday cake. I hope the fondant turns out usable and alright. The color is a pretty yellow like he wanted. The cake is going to be a chocolate cake. I haven't decided on the frosting that is going under the fondant though. I was thinking Swiss Meringue Buttercream since it isn't as sweet as regular buttercream. Hopefully I can pull off making it for a second time!

In fact, I think in a little bit I am going to get dressed to get started on the cake. I'm really curious about the fondant. Oh and soon enough I will be opening my and my sister's (if she ever starts baking again) website called Frosted Fantasie. It will be where we write about our baking adventures. Should be fun. I'm still looking for a layout for it.

Christmas is three months away! I know it seems like a really long time away but there is actually things that I want this year. This is the first time that I have actually wanted something. I don't know if I'll be able to get this KitchenAide mixer but it is at the tip top of my list of things I want. It's $200 and in white. The colored ones drive the prices up crazily. I wouldn't mind having a colored one though. I was going to save to get a Sunbeam one but money needed to go elsewhere of course. So, this is at the top of my Christmas list! I'm giving fair warning!
