I have said it before and I will say it again, credit cards are a very powerful tool if you know how to use it. It can also be a very powerful enemy if you abuse it. I have abused having a credit card before in the past and have really learned from it. I am a bit more smart about my money and a credit card these days though. I just don't have one! I know, that's a bit extreme but it is the best thing for me at the moment. If you do want to use credit cards to improve your credit score then do your research first. The most ideal thing to look for is interest free credit cards, which can be hard but there are a lot of places out there that can help you. When you start narrowing it down to a couple make sure you compare credit cards in detail. Find which works for you the best. Also, the best thing that you can do to up your credit quickly is to transfer balances from one credit card to another. I have heard of many people that do that and have excellent credit because it is showing that it has been paid off when in reality you just charged it onto another credit card. Be careful whatever you do, with a credit card!!
