There has been a lot of hype over Juno when it first came out and even up until now. So, naturally, when a movie is given that much hype then I want to see what makes it special. The plot according to IMDB is "Faced with an unplanned pregnancy, an offbeat young woman makes an unusual decision regarding her unborn child."
In this movie a young girl, Juno, become pregnant and makes the decision to give her baby up for adoption. It does show that a teen can be self-less and make the right decision while being pregnant. The message of the movie is a good one and it does come across clear but for so much hype that this movie got I don't believe it followed through. Everyone was basically "ho-hum" about the pregnancy which is unrealistic.
Overall, it was an alright movie, not something that I would watch again or would want to add to my collection. Ellen Page did a good job though and I hope to see her in other movies in the future.
