I guess it's my turn...

I had noticed it before and I had also noticed a lot of people raving about it. I don't think I quite noticed it as much as when I actually joined up for it. I'm talking about Entrecard. I read things about this website on different forums but never really paid attention to it. I think after the whole, "oh wow blogrush!" thing I was put off by websites helping out with bringing people to my site.

I joined Entrecard yesterday morning and fell into it quite quickly. All you have to do is put your widget on your site. If you want, that could be the end of it. Of course I wanted to explore! Entrecard was my newly discovered land and I was Louis..or was I Clark? Either way I wanted to dig in and get to know how to work it and how to get what I wanted out of this neat little system. I didn't just stop at putting the widget up! I customized my 125x125 "ad".

I found different websites to "drop" my card at using the Entrecard group at blogcatalog. I went into their forums and introduced myself and read over what other people were saying about their contests and websites. After I did that, I went into the different sections and looked at other peoples websites and dropped my card there. I got a lot of card dropped on my website as well.

From the first day of being apart of Entrecard my hits went from an average of 20-30 visitors to over 90! Now, I am looking at this reasonably and waiting to see if this was just the "honeymoon" stage of it. I will have to wait a week and see if my hits go back to normal or if I see a bit of hike in them. For instant gratification this has sure given it to me. I have since seen a lot of blog posts where people rave about Entrecard and what it brings. If anything I have noticed that I can find a lot of sites that I would not have normally found and for that I am loving it so far. But, time will tell. Hey, while you're here, drop your card!
