Yesterday we went grocery shopping. I didn't know we were going to go until my Mom instant messaged me and asked if we wanted to go to Hartford. So, of course, we said yes. Why would we say no? I wanted to get some groceries anyway. The whole trip was uneventful (which is good) and we managed to go to Denny's Dollar, Alco, Save-a-Lot, and even out to lunch in under three hours!
Got a couple squeaky toys for the dogs although they were more interested in the couple tortilla chips I was giving them from Taco Bell. Jamie and I spent less than a hundred dollars on our groceries which was awesome. I think we did well too. Not much junk and all healthy. Fruits, vegetables, fish, chicken, yogurt, you know...healthy.
Where's the extravaganza you might be asking? That happens when we get home and cart all these bags in from the car. We put them on the floor and all look at each other. We still had to clean out the fridge and freezer to put all this new food in there! Okay, our fridge is a nightmare most of the time. A place where we "store" our left over food which no one seems to eat.
We are often going out to the store everyday to buy something new for dinner and lunches. This is a bit disturbing when you figure how much you are actually buying and throwing away. So, four garbage bags later it is done. Yes! I said four! FOUR GARBAGE BAGS! Can you believe that!? You know how much food that is?! This is horrible! All that money wasted! I am going to try not to waste so much food. I can't believe it! FOUR!

Terrible, I know. Food should never go to waste.
