Today when we went to Walmart we checked out in self check like we usually do. There was five of us there so we had about 4 different times we had to go through the check out. Well on my moms the card wouldn't go through. They had new card things and it just wouldn't swipe it. It weirdly declined it and then it just wouldn't swipe. Now, I used to work a self check station that was the same set up and system as Walmarts when I worked at Home Depot. I know when a payment is declined you can see it on the monitor that you watch. Not to mention that my husband was even trying my moms card and it just wouldn't take it.
I was watching the girl which was running the self check watching us and when she caught me looking she would look away. Of course this is when everyone's tempers got short. Then finally she comes over when my husband calls for her. She gives us a look like "how dare you make me work" and comes over. She swipes the card while having her back to us (no smile, no anything) and then says rudely, "you have to swipe the card faster." Then she walked back to her stand and continued the dirty looks. Whatever.
Next person has a totally different card and swipes it fast. Doesn't work. So we're all laughing and saying yea swiping it fast helps alright. So, Nick figures out that it isn't the speed but that you have to start from the bottom of the thing. Then my mom has to do another ring up and the card needs to have authorization. No clue why, no one checks anyone's ID around here. We bought my laptop and they didn't even check my ID. On two separate cards and no ID checked. Anyway, so she stomps over with attitude. Oh man she had to walk and work again.
So we finish up and my walks over to her and says, "It's not how fast you swipe it you have to swipe it from the bottom." Which then the girl says to my mom "I don't care." Nice. My mom has a short temper and especially if you are just a young person with an attitude for no reason. So my mom tells her that she didn't have to have such an attitude. Of course the girl (with an attitude) says that she doesn't have an attitude.
This is one of the reasons people hate Walmart. Did I mention that prior to this my sister and her boyfriend were waiting for one of their associates in the infant isle that one of the others called on? They waited for about 15 minutes and no one ever showed up. Oh someone did pass us multiple times which we think is who they were waiting on.
What did we learn today? Don't make people that work at Walmart work.

I'm sorry you work at Walmart
Crazy day for people
I wonder what it is for people lately to be in such crazy moods. It seems everywhere we go lately someone is driving crazy. The other day I wrote about the lady with the milkshake driving into our lane and just today some guy darted out of an alley right in front of the truck! We could have been in a car accident right there! If we were then it is Nick, my sisters boyfriend's truck both times. He would definitely be looking for a free diminished value estimate to find out exactly how much he was to be owed. I would have to send him over to Advocate Auto Claims and have them help him out. They help you with finding just how much you should get for your car after a car accident.

Moving money around
With the crazy time that I have talked about previously we are moving our money around to ensure that we have the correct amount and then some in case we do have to spend time out at Muncie sometime soon. Gas is expensive and so is eating out! Both of which we will probably end up doing. We don't have credit cards to fall back on which is probably a good thing but I know that we should have at least one emergency credit card. Maybe one that has a 0 balance transfer will help us out if we get into a rut with the emergency one. I'm so tired today though. I'll have to do it later.
SVU marathons
When I do not feel like doing housework or doing work on the computer then I will usually go watch some television. There is always a couple shows on television that you can count on to have a "mini-marathon". In fact it is quite a joke between my mom and I. Whenever one of us says "You will never guess what is on!" It's an Law & Order marathon! I love the shows though. With all the DNA testing and beating people up. How could you not?
With going out leads to...
Going out too often for us means eating out too often. Of course eating out means that it is usually bad foods that should not be eaten that much. Two days of eating out makes you feel like you have gained a million pounds. We still have to go to Bluffton to return the ball joint press in order to get our deposit back ($100) on that. We kind of need our savings money back in case we have to drive out to see Shaina in the hospital if she goes into labor anytime soon. Well, I guess I'll be eying off those weight loss pills after all!
