How is everyone doing on their new year resolutions of getting fit and healthy? I did not have that resolution so I can’t check in. I hope you’re doing well and sticking to it. Your health is no joke! Pot meet kettle, I know.
When I am looking at exercising more, I usually have trouble finding something that is not boring or does not become boring. Sometimes you need something to go to that you can switch things up a bit. You can throw your body a curve ball by trying out some Dahn Yoga. Not only is it an awesome work out but you can also relax as well. This way you are learning about the Dahn Yoga basics and also getting your exercise in.
Before I got pregnant and had Duncan I did some yoga and really enjoyed myself with it. It was not high impact so it did not hurt my back and knees but you could really feel it working you out properly. You could always learn about Dahn Yoga before you try it out to see if it is for you.
No matter your age, young or old, you will be able to do this yoga. Try it out, I swear you’ll love it.
Shaina and I have been doing the couch to 5k program and I have to say that it is pretty good. I don’t run, or rather I didn’t run. I hated it. Mostly I hated it because I’m not a little girl and that I felt like a fool going out running. Which is ridiculous! If anything, I should feel great that I am getting out there and doing something.
That’s how I feel now. Then again, we run pretty early in the morning and at a park that there is no one at at 8 in the morning! Still, the program is really awesome. It beats the weight loss pills reviews and different exercise machines you see on television, that’s for sure.
Tomorrow is our week 2 day 2. I think we’re going tomorrow anyway. I foundĀ a dollar on our run one day. Very profitable day that was! I really recommend this to anyone that wants to start running! It’s not as hard as you think.
I’ve always liked the thought of running and doing exercise through just leaving the house and not paying anything for it. Motivation on the other hand is something I lack when it comes to exercising.
This could explain why I’m so overweight now! Imagine that! So tomorrow morning before we start working, Shaina, Jeremy, and I will be heading out for our first run.
We are going to do the couch to 5k program which gets even the laziest people out there and running 5k in I think it’s five weeks.
We’ll be going to the Fireman’s park where the Salamonie River is. This is the river:
The water looks nasty but the park is pretty. I just have to remember not touch any plants. Last time I did I came out with poison ivy. That isn’t fun. I’ll then spend all my time running my rash under the bathroom faucets as the hot water feels good on them.

My fourth day of exercising is down. Yesterday I took a break from Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred and opted to do Walk Away The Pounds. I needed the break from the weights!
It was good though. Tonight’s Jillian workout didn’t see as bad as before. Still no walk in the park!
Speaking of walks in the park, this summer I am definitely taking that little beauty up there on walks to the park. I’m sure she misses it! However, I just don’t think we need to have to get the emergency lights going when she goes floating down the river after a stick or something. Not a good thing!
Watched the Biggest Loser tonight too. Ugh, I hate cliff hangers.
I know that they will make the 77 pound total weight loss though. They have to! I don’t want to see anyone go home! I’m sure a dork. Well, it’s almost midnight and I need to crawl my butt into bed!
Night all!
I admit it. I’m a big “watch Biggest Loser while on the couch or in bed” type of person. When I watch it I get really motivated to work out and lose weight. I go to sleep pumped for the morning.
Morning comes and I’m all about the, “Nah I’m too busy.”
Am I too busy? No one is too busy to lose weight and get healthy. Seriously. Today Shaina and I did Jillian Michael’s 30 Day Shred again after not doing it since the first time.
This time we added in some weights since my brother has his weight set down there. We each had five pound weights for each hand. Nice! It sure did add to the intesity. It felt good though and I’ve felt good all day. Saturday’s will be my weigh in day and of course I’ll probably write it on here.
I’ve been frequenting the 3 Fat Chicks forum like I did the last time when I lost about 30 pounds. I think that forum helps a lot more than I thought.
I’m getting motivation there and hope to stick to this. I need to stick to this. I’m not happy and I want to be healthy!
I need to set a scheduled time everyday to exercise. Then when the warmer weather comes I want to start walking and jogging in the mornings.
Seriously though, if you want to get your butt kicked then go for Jillian Michael’s 30 Day Shred. It’s awesome!
