I’m a little late on the Christmas recap/tree decorating pictures but hey, what are you going to do?

Duncan wasn’t quite sure what to make of the Christmas tree.

Truth be told, when we brought it in he started crying.

Christmas trees are scary! Especially when your mom is laying on the ground underneath the tree to get the thing in the stand!

Our little soldier warmed up to it quite fast though. I took him over to it so that he could touch it and see that it wasn’t a boogeyman!

Decorating it was, eh. He didn’t quite know what to make of it. He liked touching the ornaments though.

I didn’t get very many pictures of the present opening because I was too busy enjoying the moment.

That’s the good thing about holidays though, you get wrapped up in the moment of just being. Then later you get mad at yourself that you didn’t take enough pictures to remember the moment.

Christmas was a blast. Duncan made out like a bandit and I loved his first Christmas.

It was a lot of fun as usual. We had to have dinner a little early. So early in fact, that it was just called lunch. We ate around 1pm because my sister had to leave for work around 5pm. Truth be told, I kind of enjoyed having it as a lunch instead of a dinner. There was plenty of time for the food to just sit there and then I was able to actually feel hungry after. That is instead of the normal feeling like a fat cow that just needs to eat and sleep.

Duncan quite enjoyed his first Thanksgiving. He had a little bit of turkey and a taste of the cranberry sauce. I don’t think he actually got any of the turkey into his mouth. Pre-dinner/lunch he nomed on his measuring cup.

You’ll have to try the pre-dinner measuring cup nomming sometime. It’s a must.

During dinner we had the usual conversation of going around the table and telling what you are thankful for. Which of course, in our family no one can just take it seriously.

However, it did turn to Nick telling us how babies are processed.

That story is for another day. Although, the boys faces were funny.

Don’t mind the background. It’s just Sheetrock and plywood.

The story in one word: Amazing.

Oh, the big wet spot on the table? Yea, we can never just stay too nice for too long!

Shaina’s fountain soda cup is classy. We’re all about class around here!

So our Thanksgiving was pretty fun if I do say so myself.

On to Christmas! Bring it on December!

Sometimes lately, snapping a photo of Jeremy is really hard. He is getting totally into the phase of ‘on the go’. He wants nothing to do with standing in one spot, especially when he is outside.

However, sometimes you get lucky and you get a gem of a photo. When I get that, I revel in it and love it. This needs to be printed, framed, and put on my desk.

Man, looking at it gives me a toothache he’s so sweet. He gets cuter and cuter everyday! Even when he throws his horrible tantrums!

I wanted to go to the park for two main reasons. I wanted Ruby to run around to her hearts content and I wanted to take pictures there. The pictures will come at a later post but, I just wanted to show off our first ever (after 5 months, pretty sad, huh?) family picture!

Every other time since Duncan has been born that Jeremy would go up to him he would run away scared. Well, we think he’s putting it on.

Slowly he has been warming up to him and playing with him. The first time he actually touched him it was to poke his belly button. The next was to touch his feet.

Since those little pokes it has no graduated to full fledged playing.

Okay, it might help that this toy used to be Jeremy and Shaina is letting us borrow it.

Duncan thinks Jeremy is just the bees knees!

Finally! No running scared!

Do I not have the cutest family ever?

Jeremy is finally turning the big two tomorrow! Shaina did something special for his birthday and made cookies. Nick is making the cake but he’s doing that probably as I type.

Isn’t this the cutest thing you’ve ever seen? Okay, maybe not you but it sure is to me! They’re giving me the same look. It starts already!

It’s really, really, really hard to believe that in just 15 days Jeremy will be turning two years old. It does not seem like two years have passed since Shaina gave birth to this kid. It can’t have been two years already.

I won’t accept it.

This growing business has just got to stop. It’s getting out of control.

Well, I guess I’ll let it slide this year. This kid has to stick at 2 though. He’s too cute for his own good.

He knows it too.

He just has to flash you that big grin of his and it will send your heart melting.

Seriously though, these kids have to stop growing up.

We could always get some TD BANKNORTH GARDEN TICKETS and check that out, it should be fun on the events that we’d like to go. Or possibly we could get some FENWAY PARK TICKET and check out whatever goes on there such as baseball. Another thing that would be neat is getting TANGLEWOOD TICKETS to something such as the Boston Pop.

The main thing is, life is way too short and we want to spend fantastic moments with our fantastic family! We always have a great time when we all go out!
