Do I not have the cutest family ever?

He managed to pick up a Playskool Kick Start Gym for only $5. It closely resembles the toy in the image except that the left hand toy is different.

Anyway, Duncan has been playing with it a few times since last night and he absolutely loves this thing. He just kicks the heck out of it and laughs his little butt off.

Jamie also managed to snag some more books to read at bedtime. They’re Winnie the Pooh books and one is a monkey book. He told me he is now out of cash but it’s all worth it because Duncan loves this toy, it was for a good cause, and it was quite the steal.

Well, today was Duncan’s 4 month well baby check up as well as his second round of immunizations.

The shots I hate and he hates them even more of course. Poor kid, I feel horrible but I know it’s something that has to be done.

He was weighed in at 15 pounds and 6 ounces. Can you believe it? My little monkey is getting so big. Where is he putting it all? He is also now 24 inches long making him in about the 55th percentile for height and weight.

The doctor gave us the go ahead to start him on cereal but we’re going to hold off on giving him solids until six months or around there anyway. When he seems more ready for solids. That means, it’s going to be here before we know it and we have to get a high chair for him. Sigh

Where does the time go?

My little man turned 4 months old yesterday. 4 months!!

Duncan has grown a lot in four months as well. We’ll find out his height/weight at his 4 month doctor’s appointment on Tuesday.

He is really into screeching, getting tickled, standing up (of course while being held), playing in the little bouncing toy thing Shaina let him borrow that was once Jeremy’s, he loves playing rock back and forth with his GaGa, and he’s starting to show a bit of interest in the food on our plates.

He’s not quite rolling over yet although he’s done it a few times on accident. He’s sitting really well while assisted and would rather be sitting up than lying down. He tries to sit up while lying down as well…by lifting his head up. If I did it as much as him, I’d have a six pack, no lie.

Let’s see…what else…Oh yea, he’s quite the pro at picking up anything around him now. Of course then it goes straight into his mouth, which is filled with drool these days.

4 months.

Time certainly does fly.

He’s getting more and more personality every day…and is quite the silly little monkey!

He’s found out that his hands can do such as awesome things as grab. Grab everything. Nothing is safe. You try to tickle him and he grabs a handful of your hair. He grabs your nose, blankets, towels.

What he really loves grabbing is his toys.

So of course…camera in tow…I swear he’s getting pictures taken in this chair all the time but he’s not in it all the time. Just thought I’d clarify that!

I’m amazed too!

Duncan’s personality shines through every single day. He does something that just cracks us up or just makes us wonder about him.

In the morning, he likes to wake me up by screeching. Not sad or crying screeching, but screeching and then giggling about it. I’ll wake up and look at him..and he’s got a huge grin on his face because he got what he wanted.

He just talks and talks…and talks some more. 9 times out of 10, if he’s quiet, he’s overtired.

His faces in pictures just say it all as well. He’s got a personality that lights up the room.

I’m just so happy that this little guy is my son.

Last night I had Duncan in the kitchen with me. It can’t start too young, right? Of course he was just supervising me cleaning, cooking, and a little singing and dancing! I was actually pretty surprised he stayed in his swing so happily. Most of the time he will stay in there for about ten minutes tops and want out.

That’s fine with me! I don’t want him to have that be the only place he likes to be!

However, he sure had fun last night!

I couldn’t ask for a cuter supervisor!

I took a picture today in his chair just to see and my jaw dropped. I mean, I know he’s grown and gotten bigger but seeing it like that is amazing.

Now, for the picture from today..well, technically it is yesterday since it’s 1:30am. Anyway,

Look how big my baby has gotten! At least he doesn’t sport the grump face in this photo!!

We have his 4 month doctor’s appointment at the end of the month so we’ll see how long he is officially. At the 2 month one he was 22 inches and 1/4 or something close to that.
