Picking a book

Duncan has found the bookshelf and he likes it! He mostly likes to take his toys out of there that we have put in there. However, sometimes he likes to look at his books. So far he has only taken one book out of the bookcase.

I know that it won’t last for very long since we have a pile of magazines on a computer tower where he plays and he loves to just knock them all down. Of course they are there for him to play with and make him feel like he’s being naughty.

Oh, hi!

This boy is a naughty little monkey for sure.

First, a picture just because he is so darn cute!

Sitting in Dad's Chair

As you can see, I am trying out a new theme. I had the previous one for awhile and decided that it was time for a change. In lieu of the upcoming spring season, I decided to go a little brighter as well as trying out a one column layout. I don’t have much of a sidebar anymore so I figured why not try something new? New is always a good thing to go through.

Anyway, Jamie finally agreed to me redoing the dresser, end tables, and headboard of our bed this summer. I have yet to decide on a color to do for it but, whatever it is will be fun. I’m a very excited to start that project underway.

Summer is not going to be a time to sit on my rump and do nothing, I have vowed that much. Not only will we be going to the park and taking Ruby for walks but we have decided that we are going to get more done on the house by purchasing one piece of sheetrock at a time. No if ands or butts.

What are you planning on doing with the warmer seasons?

I don’t know why they have to do a daylight savings in Indiana. We had the perfect year when we first moved out here due to the fact that they didn’t do daylight savings. The second year it all changed when they began to do it.

I loved not having to worry about the time changing and whether we would lose an hour or gain an hour. Would we relive an hour in the early morning or not?

I’m not feeling the spring in the spring forward that is for sure. In fact you can say that I am dragging tail really.

I need my hour back, especially when Duncan doesn’t want to cut me some slack and sleep in that extra hour. Oh no, he was still up at 7:30 this morning.

Ladybug Love

Duncan seriously loves his VTech Ladybug. I swear that is one of the first things that he crawls to to play with when I put him down on the floor.

It is quite loud and has a ton of different things for him to press. Also the handy pull string in which he has learned to pull and get the toy closer to him.

It is always amazing the different things he learns and so quickly.

This is a good crib!

This boy is growing up entirely too fast and I don’t like it.

This picture was shot 10 days ago today. Ten. One, Zero. He was kneeling in his crib.

I thought, oh I guess we better think about dropping down the mattress so when he starts pulling himself to a stand it won’t be dangerous.

Today I put him in there to lay blankets on the floor and I go back to look and I find him standing. Standing in his crib.

Now, he’s been half standing on his on his own for awhile now. So it isn’t totally unexpected.

When did he learn to pull himself up and stand?

The other day he was just getting the hang of getting into the crawling position. On the bed of course. This kid has no patience for the floor. I think because it’s hard. I don’t blame him.

Mats will remedy this and we’re getting them hopefully at the end of the month!

Why does he have to do everything at once?!
