The rain comes down

It’s another rainy day except this time I opted to not go on our walk this morning. We got pretty wet yesterday and I didn’t feel like having wet clothing again! So we’re staying in and I will be doing Walk Away The Pounds later on. Only problem with that is poor Ruby doesn’t get to go on her walk.

This morning our internet also went out for about three hours. Thankfully it just came back on a bit ago so we can all begin working again.

Amazing how much we depend on the internet. It goes out and we have nothing to do! I started playing The Sims 3 but I just wasn’t in the mood.

Three more days until the ultrasound. Jamie got it all sorted this morning when they called and now we just have to go in there. Two adults are allowed in so that means Mom gets to go in as well. Nice!

Now, if you’ll excuse me I have to throw my sweater on and get to work!

Working on change

I’ve been thinking of a way to switch from doing ChaCha into something else since I can make more money by far somewhere else. I figured it out today and am pretty happy about it.

So I can sort of say that things will surely be falling into place shortly. Did I mention I’m happy about that?

So lately Jamie and I have been watching True Blood. It’s actually a pretty interesting show besides some of the acting sucks. It really makes you think that it’s time to get some affordable term life insurance that’s for sure!

Of course we are now almost caught up through the season 2 so we will have to wait week by week! Boo!

I’m off to play some Sims 3 so that I can relax for a bit. It’ll be a change!

I get my groove back

I’ll tell you, I’ve been working a lot more and then getting more time on down time as well. It feels good to get my groove in work back. I’ve almost made 1/3 of what I made this last month and it’s only been five days since the pay out.

That’s good. I’m excited and hope I can keep it up.

Speaking of keeping it up, I still have to bake cupcakes for the IronCupcake! It’s like collision auto insurance that keeps getting put off.

But! Have no fear, I have the perfect idea that I came up with at the moment I saw that soda ingredient!

Unmotivated to work so what do I do?

This morning I woke up with a stomach ache from that beautiful time of month. So, of course I’m not feeling very motivated to sit at my desk and work today.

Instead, I cleaned. Yea, woohoo fun! The bathroom was in serious need of a scrubbing! The bathtub, toilet, floor..gross! So I did that. I think it only took an hour. I tried to do some work but it’s just not happening.

It’s messed up too because tomorrow is supposed to be the new pay rate so I should be working it instead of sitting here not.

That’s okay though, it just means I’ll work harder tomorrow when my stomach is feeling better. Can’t wait to get paid…that way I can do some baking soon.

Mass Hysteria

So ChaCha is changing things around behind the scenes for the SMS guides there. They are cutting pay for the top guides and getting rid of that system. Actually, they are “making it fair” as they put it.

The pay is on a category basis now instead of performance. Okay, so I’m not 100% thrilled about it but at the same time, what are you going to do, right? No amount of complaining, whining, yelling, or moaning is going to change their minds.

I do believe this step was taking to lower their costs which is okay with me. They could have sent a notice to everyone saying that they were too far in the red or losing money and were shutting down.

Does this mean I’m totally happy about the changes? Nope. Does anyone like change that isn’t 100% in their favor? Nope!

I’m still happy that I can have some kind of income without it all going into our gas tank of a Suburban.

Have I ever mentioned it gets something like 5mpg? Yea! Nice! The nearest town is 20 miles away. Not gas friendly!

Anyway, as I was saying I’m happy to be able to stay at home and work and make a decent amount of money. Especially in this economy right now.

It’s just crazy how people will go up in arms about something without letting it ride through. I’m keeping my total opinions to myself to see how it turns out. It might not be so bad.

I’m hoping anyway!
