Well we had our last doctor’s appointment this morning. We said at the last one we wanted to wait and see if labor started on its own. However, with no progress, no contractions, and the like of course there was very, very little going on down there. I barely dilated anymore and what he did say I had, I think he was just throwing it out there and being nice about it! I did say I wasn’t expecting much though.

However, my blood pressure was up a bit and they were concerned so said that definitely we are going to the hospital tonight to start the induction before it turns into something bad, such as pre-eclampsia.

Jamie’s face lit up to find out that it is starting tonight. Of course he’s been waiting for Duncan to make his debut since 37 weeks at full term. However, he’s a stubborn little baby already and won’t budge!

We’re starting with the cervix softening tonight and then going into the pitocin which will start the contractions. I’m so nervous, excited and majorly worried. It’s very hard to believe that tomorrow, if all goes well, we’ll finally get to meet Duncan!

It feels like yesterday we got our positive pregnancy test seriously. It’s flown by.

I am sad that I had to take my wedding band off today so I don’t swell during labor or lose the ring. I haven’t had that ring off in who knows how many years. If that’s the worst thing I have to worry about, I think we’re doing good.

Next post will have tons of pictures of our little man.

It seriously has just hit me that March is already half over. March! Half over! 38 days until the due date for this baby.

Okay, so it hasn’t just hit me but the amount of time that has gone through March has just hit me. 38 days is like the blink of an eye! This Thursday and I’ll be 35 weeks. That just seems like so long to have been pregnant!

This is really a useless post but I just sat here thinking that hell if this kid wanted to come earlier, we could be seeing him in like two to three weeks. Alright. Now I’m getting nervous.

Where’s the pause button?

One night when I should have been working I was looking through the Google Readers ‘explore’ section just to have a look at other feeds that I may be interested in. In these blog postings was a bunch of creative blog posts from a website that featured people’s blogs that had creative do-it yourself type things.

I ran across one which tickled my fancy. It was decorative letters for names, made from cardboard and scrapbooking paper! I thought, wow, I can actually do that! You can look at it on the website Craft Envy.

It took me a few days because I had to trace the letters off my computer screen (no printer in our room and didn’t want to bug mom), I ended up sadly cutting the letters out of the paper with a knife because I couldn’t find the scissors that were in the room, and had to bug mom later for a glue stick and an exacto knife. However, I got it done!

I must say, that they turned out pretty damn good. Too bad about the wood paneled walls, eh?

Total cost: $0. I already had the scrapbooking paper because I had bought it previously. Obviously the cardboard didn’t cost anything! Just some time from me. Better than spending $13 a letter that we were looking at in Kohl’s. Just looking, no way would we spend that much on letters!!

Yesterday the travel system for the baby arrived! We’re pretty excited because it means that the baby now officially has something to come home in.

Okay,  so he would’ve had something to come home in anyway. We were planning on using Jeremy’s old car seat if we were unable to get one of our own, just so he could come home and so on.

However, Jamie did some trickery (selling our items from the game Maplestory we were obsessed with long away and then selling the in game currency for real currency) to get a game for himself as well as the baby’s travel system.

We couldn’t help it and we opened it last night, not taking it out of the box though. Today though, we took the car seat out of the box. Gorgeous! The colors and padding was so much more than what we expected. It was only $125 so we figured we were settling because it’s not the one we originally wanted. We’re so pleased with it though!

You can kind of see it, the design is called Alphabet Soup with the alphabet and leaves. The colors are just gorgeous and so much better than the picture!

75 days to go until the due date..but who’s counting?

cribsetYes, I have turned into one of those websites. All I talk about is baby stuff. Hey, guess what, I don’t care!

So onto the good stuff. I’ve shown you the crib we’re getting and now I am going to show you the crib bedding set we’re getting.

This is it! Winnie the Pooh Days of Hunny set. We’re not getting everything in the picture but the comforter, sheet, bumper, and the dust ruffle. Why does a baby need a dust ruffle? Heck, I hate dust ruffles on my own bed, that’s why we took it off!

I love Winnie the Pooh and have been looking at this set since before we tried getting pregnant. The sheet is adorable up close. It has little bees and honey combs. I love the colors and that is unisex. Of course there are gender specific sets that are cute but you just can’t beat Winnie the Pooh!

Oh yea, one more week until the ultrasound! Woohoo!
