Jeremy is finally turning the big two tomorrow! Shaina did something special for his birthday and made cookies. Nick is making the cake but he’s doing that probably as I type.

Shaina made Jeremy some birthday cupcake cones for everyone else while Jeremy got  a little cake that I made. The cupcake cones are so cute. I haven’t had any but everyone else said they were delicious. I have a feeling that they’d much rather eat these cupcake cones than look into software development or something of the sort.

They did turn out beautiful I think.

Although Jeremy’s birthday was on August 14th we are having his birthday party today. With everyone working and getting paid in the middle of the month after his birthday, there was no way we could have had it on the day. So I am going to be baking his little cake and decorating it. It is boxed mix and everything since I don’t have time to do anything else at the moment. That is my birthday present to him. Oh and letting him sit on my floor in my room because he loves it.

I was going to get him a notebook computer but you know. Haha! Who am I kidding, he’d never get one of those from me. I’d keep it myself even though I don’t like those bad boys.

So pictures of course will be coming. Probably tonight sometime after it.

So for Jamie and my birthday which was July 15th and 17th respectively, we had a joint cake. I had asked for a fancy cake but Mom and Shaina went all out and made a four tier cake with fondant!

This photo does not do the cake justice as it doesn’t even show the top. Bad photography on my husbands half. That’s why I don’t like having him pick the better pictures!

This was my moms first time working with fondant and also doing a million tiers on a cake like this. For the first time doing it I think it’s fantastic!

Actually, it was a pretty awesome cake in my opinion. I helped a little with rolling it out and you have to blame me for the placement of the covering because I’ve never worked with different shaped layers like this one was. So it was a learning experience all around.

They did a fantastic job on the cake and it was even delicious. 5 stars!

For my birthday I had planned on going to see Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Money didn’t work out the way I had hoped so we had no money to do it.  When I figured out the money, I felt like taking a Apidexin or something! However, I was very surprised later in the day. I was told we had to go to “Lowe’s” to get some pipe to fix something in the basement.

We get half-way there and I asked where we’re really going as I knew there was no leaks in the basement. So Jamie says, well, there’s something in the glove box for you. I open it up and there’s a manila envelope in it. I open it up and there’s $40 and a hand drawn picture from my sister with Harry Potter and two tickets drawn for the movie.

Instant water works. I started bawling at the sight of it. Of course, it doesn’t help that it’s that time of the month so I am hormonal like crazy. I swear I cried for about five minutes, then cried while I called my mom to thank her, then cried to call my sister and thank her.

So, we ended up going to the movies last night to see Harry Potter and I have to say it was a total blast. Jamie had a restaurant picked out to go eat afterwards but unfortunately we were so full from previously eating treats in the theater and I ate before we left not knowing.

Today my mom made our birthday cake and it was gorgeous! I helped roll out the fondant and color the extra colors. My sister made the fondant last night. I’ll have pictures of it up on Frosted Fantasie as well as on here.

Jamie and I hadn’t been on a date in a long long time. It was so nice. I really have the best family.

Yesterday morning there was an accident involving some teenage girls. One girl died in this accident. That girl was our next door neighbor, she was also my brothers on again off again girlfriend. His world and first love. This is a tragic event that happened because the driver (also a teen) was passing another car on icy roads. She lost control of her vehicle and it rolled. Not seconds before, Linda, was taking her jacket off and had unbuckled her seat belt to do so. While the belt was off, the car spun out of control and rolled ejecting her partially from the vehicle. 16 years old…

I didn’t know her but knew of her. I didn’t like her actions and what she had done a few times to my brother but that doesn’t mean I wanted anything to happen to her. Now, my brother is in a state of depression. Her parents are obviously heartbroken. I think about this event and cry. Cry for my brother, her parents, friends, and family. For the life that was lost because of bad call on the driver as well as her part. The rest from this accident walked away with no injuries, because they had their seat belts on.

Please look around you at your family and appreciate them. Tell them you love them every chance you can. Don’t get mad over the small things and don’t stress over the big. Life is to be enjoyed no matter what. The next turn could be one for the worse.
