I’m a little late on the Christmas recap/tree decorating pictures but hey, what are you going to do?
Duncan wasn’t quite sure what to make of the Christmas tree.
Truth be told, when we brought it in he started crying.
Christmas trees are scary! Especially when your mom is laying on the ground underneath the tree to get the thing in the stand!
Our little soldier warmed up to it quite fast though. I took him over to it so that he could touch it and see that it wasn’t a boogeyman!
Decorating it was, eh. He didn’t quite know what to make of it. He liked touching the ornaments though.
I didn’t get very many pictures of the present opening because I was too busy enjoying the moment.
That’s the good thing about holidays though, you get wrapped up in the moment of just being. Then later you get mad at yourself that you didn’t take enough pictures to remember the moment.
Here’s a few of Duncan and Daddy opening some presents though!
Like what the cats have done to the couch?
Christmas was a blast. Duncan made out like a bandit and I loved his first Christmas.
I’m sitting here in bed, watching Family Guy and thinking about the number of days that there are left until Christmas. There are six days left. Six. This month has gone too fast and I have gotten nothing done.
I’m excited for Duncans first Christmas and quite hopeful that next year will be even better. There was so much that I wanted to do/buy that I just didn’t get to or have enough money for.
I will probably be doing a Christmas in January. It’s being with family that really matters anyway, right?
While I was window shopping on the Bed Bath & Beyond website I found the perfect bathroom set that would be used for Christmas. Or in my case year around. Not just because I love Christmas. No no no! It is because I have an unhealthy obsession to snowmen.
If they had snowman anonymous, I would probably be that person that goes in and out of it because they just can’t kick their habit.
The first thing that I saw was the shower curtain. Could it be? The most beautiful shower curtain with snowmen that I have ever seen? Hooks to match? Yes, yes, yes!
Gorgeous! I would be in and out of the bathroom just staring at the curtain. Look how happy the snowman are!
Of course when you step out of the shower you have to step onto a mat. Matching of course. Snowmen, obviously!

But what about when you need to throw something away? A regular old waste basket just won’t do it in this snowman bathroom!
Do you see where I’m going with this? Snowman waste basket!
So it might not hold very much but it sure is cute and that is what I want!
Is it the end? Oh, no my friend, it is not.
You need a lotion dispenser for that sink! Well, I wouldn’t put lotion in it. I’d put soap. I don’t know who puts lotion on their sink instead of soap. Do you wash your hands with lotion? I sure don’t.
Now, you may be wondering about what you could use to dry yourself off with? Of course, they have that covered too!
Boom. Boom. Drying powah!
I really wish they had a picture of the whole set together but, they don’t. That makes me a bit sad. It also makes my imagination work overtime.
November has just begun. We just got over Halloween. The next holiday is Thanksgiving. However, all I am thinking about is Christmas.
Maybe because this is the first Christmas where I am a mother. Maybe it is because we, as a family, are getting out of our holiday funk. Who knows and who cares.
One of the things that have been on my mind is holiday cards and I need to get on it! This year I am going to be getting some Christmas cards done that have Duncan on them. I mean, who doesn’t want my cutie Duncan to greet them in the mail for the holiday season?
I am definitely getting them done through Shutterfly. Why? It’s quite simple. I’m impressed by their quality. It’s easy to upload pictures to their site and I love the results that I have gotten from them.

I was thinking of getting this one because I love snowmen and it has two of them. Not to mention a huge picture of Duncan can be put on there. Or perhaps I will go with this one:

There’s just so many to choose from! One thing I do know, if you are a family or friend, then look out for a cute Christmas card from us this season!
I tried not to do this again but I guess my streak of blogging went away. I’ll blame it on the holidays and doctor’s appointments taking my time, except, I’ve also just been lazy.
So, on the doctor’s appointments, everything is fine. My blood pressure is still high and I got put on medication for it. They did labs for preeclampsia but said they all came back fine and I don’t have signs of it. Of course, following it up with “Just because you don’t have it now, doesn’t mean it won’t show up later!” Hey, thanks man!
The baby is doing fine though. I’m feeling the tyke daily now so that’s a good feeling, although strange at the same time!
Everything is else is going well though. Nothing huge happening besides the upcoming holidays. First Christmas without gramps…that’s gonna suck.
