Whoops..14 days!?

Posted in Pregnancy on December 16th, 2009 by Sabriena – Be the first to comment

I tried not to do this again but I guess my streak of blogging went away. I’ll blame it on the holidays and doctor’s appointments taking my time, except, I’ve also just been lazy.

So, on the doctor’s appointments, everything is fine. My blood pressure is still high and I got put on medication for it. They did labs for preeclampsia but said they all came back fine and I don’t have signs of it. Of course, following it up with “Just because you don’t have it now, doesn’t mean it won’t show up later!” Hey, thanks man!

The baby is doing fine though. I’m feeling the tyke daily now so that’s a good feeling, although strange at the same time!

Everything is else is going well though. Nothing huge happening besides the upcoming holidays. First Christmas without gramps…that’s gonna suck.

Christmas decorating shall be tomorrow!

I decided that tomorrow I am going to go down and clean the downstairs area and mom is going to pull the Christmas decorations and tomorrow will be the day for Christmas decorating.

Hey, it’s almost December and it is time to get this holiday cheer into gear! Christmas is my favorite holiday to decorate, the gifts, the baking, the songs! The altogether cheerful way people are in and the people that aren’t, screw them!

I am hoping that tomorrow we can get both the trees up and decorated as well because that is what really makes Christmas what it is.

Hopefully most of it gets done so we can get some pictures!

7 days and counting

We are now in single digits coming into the day for our very first ultrasound. Exciting!

Another exciting thing is that the weather is actually nice today. Unfortunately, by the time the 12th rolls around it’s going to be back in the 5o’s and raining. Of course.

Oh well, I do like the rain and cooler weather. As long as the ultrasound goes good, I’ll be fine.

It feels like Christmas jitters when you’re younger. You just want it to get here, you count down the days, of course it makes it go slower but you don’t mind.

I do mind! Hurry!

Did you notice the layout change? It’s simple. I love it.

The Main Gifts

Posted in Special Events on December 27th, 2007 by Sabriena – Be the first to comment

Christmas morning is when we open our main Christmas presents. The ones that Santa brings to us. This year Santa went all out and even made them look fancy. My moms main gift? We had that bad boy professionally wrapped. You can see that it sure does pay off. Obviously, her present is the one in the white wrapping paper and with the pretty pink bow on it. We got her the 2007 Holiday Barbie. After the disappointment set in the night before from her “main gift” being a body pillow, this was a nice surprise. I loved the wrapping on it and it looked beautiful.

There was a teary eye that day. Oh wait…the other one was teary..that one is always teary! haha Leaky eye! Anyway, the main gifts look gorgeous to say the least. Everyone was happy with theirs. Jamie got Maplestory cards (he wanted them!), mom got her Barbie, Colton got a stereo system, Nick got a gameboy SP. I? Well, I got a Betty Crocker cake decorating kit that is just so awesome that I cannot wait until the birthdays start rolling in!  I put in a picture of the gifts sitting under the tree! GORGEOUS!

The Boys Helping

Posted in The Baking on December 27th, 2007 by Sabriena – Be the first to comment

During our baking day the boys in the house helped. If you know boys..then you know how they helped. Rough housing was definitely a plenty in the kitchen that day. At least it wasn’t arguing right? Anyway, Nick and Colton actually helped out for a bit. Nick looked really cute with his little apron on.

The first words out of his mouth when he came in to help was, “I need an apron!”. Mom went and found him one from the cabinet and although smelled a bit musty from being in there all year, it was cute on him.  Of course, it isn’t a holiday without someone getting punched on (playfully of course) or put into some kind of headlock. Colton, Nick, and my darling husband (although sometimes would count as a kid, right?) were all there in the kitchen to help out with the entertainment for the evening. Somehow Jamie got

Nick into a headlock between his legs. I don’t know how it happened, but Nick was not very happy about it.  He didn’t even want his picture taken when he was like that.

As you can see from him covering his face up in the picture. That was the best picture that I could get.  It was a fun day all around though!
