Happy Halloween everyone! I hope your night was fantastic! I hope everyone got a lot of candy and not too many tricks.
Duncan and I stayed home last night while everyone else went trick or treating. He had his six months shots on Friday and was feeling the effects of them on Saturday. I opted to just stay at home with him and let him rest. I’m really glad that I did because the poor guy was running a low fever and just all over cruddy feeling.
His doctor appointment went well though. We didn’t have his regular doctor and we did not like this new doctor there. Duncan cried more for him than he did the shots. Plus, the guy acted like me nursing him for 6 months was forever. Those were his words.
“Oh, you’re still nursing him?”
“Yep.”
“Don’t worry, my wife nursed our children forever too.”
Then I picked my jaw up off the ground.
That wasn’t the only thing but I won’t go on about it! No point. Everyone else in my family has already heard it all and then some.
So, Duncan now weighs 17 pounds 2 ounces which I was really surprised at. That’s a 0.6 ounce change in two months. Doctor didn’t seem concerned, not that that gives me any reassurance. He has grown 3 inches though and is now 27 inches tall.
We got ourselves a tall boy!
Tomorrow is another doctor’s appointment in the morning. This is a follow up for my high blood pressure on Tuesday. I am really hoping that it was just a one time thing and nothing horrible is going on with the pregnancy.
I would be lying if I said I wasn’t worried about it but so far it’s only been once and I am not trying to worry too much just yet. I have not gone to Google to see what could happen during the pregnancy as I will cross that road if I come to it. Of course I won’t be Googling it because that just always leads to the worst circumstances!
So, here’s hoping that we’re just wasting our time tomorrow morning!
