I’m running with it. I’m going to be so cliche here. I am so thankful for my husband, Jamie.
We met about twelve years ago I want to say. We actually met online when he stole the chatroom that I was running with my best friend Brina. I hated him at first but grew to like him, of course.
He grew on me for some reason. Two years later after talking on the phone and internet, he came out to see me. Did I mention he’s from Australia? It wasn’t a small thing to do!
Well, he came and never left. A few months later we were married. 10 years later we’re still going strong.
I don’t know what I would do without him. He’s my rock. A lot of people say this about their spouses but I mean it. He has been with me through a lot of hard times. Not relationship hard times but life hard times. There is nothing more that I would like in a husband than what he is.
Except maybe more foot rubs – I could stand to get more of those!
We went to the park today and had a blast. The last time we went to the park Duncan was itty bitty and didn’t look around or anything.
I wanted to go to the park for two main reasons. I wanted Ruby to run around to her hearts content and I wanted to take pictures there. The pictures will come at a later post but, I just wanted to show off our first ever (after 5 months, pretty sad, huh?) family picture!
Well, a couple days have passed and I kept forgetting to write about it.
However, September 8 marked the 10 year anniversary for Jamie and I. In 2000, we decided to get married after meeting for the first time face to face. We used to talk over the internet and phone for a couple years.
Who would have imagined that from a moment of this punk stealing my chatroom it would lead to a lifelong relationship that I am proud of and cherish.
Jamie really is the best husband that anyone could have. I knew that I loved him with all my heart, however, during the birth of our son I knew that I loved him even more than that.
Ten years he has stuck with me through thick and thin. We have been through quite a bit and he really is the rock that I lean on when I need to. He is my other half and I would be lost without him.
Ten years is a really long time for getting married at 18 years old. I guess we’ve beaten the odds so far. Here’s to another 10 and even more.
Isn’t this the cutest thing you’ve ever seen? Okay, maybe not you but it sure is to me! They’re giving me the same look. It starts already!
It’s amazing to see the similarities in Duncan and Jamie. You can definitely tell that kid comes from his Dad because of one thing: his ears. They have pretty much the same ears!
I noticed it when I took this picture of them looking out the window. Try to withstand the adorableness for a minute and just look at the ears! Who am I kidding? The ears are adorable too.
Let me take my mommy goggles off for a minute.
They are so similar it’s hilarious. They even have the same hairstyle, although Duncan has nothing to do with his bald head!
