I like to think I’m one of the lucky ones. Every morning I get to wake up next to him and every night I get to go to sleep next to him.
When he walks into the room my heart still skips a beat and I still get butterflies in my stomach. Catching him on these occasions where he is deep in thought about cars or mowing the lawn and I have the camera in hand, I can’t help but snap some pictures.
Then the pose changes and I can’t tell if he’s posing or cocking his head in thought. Either way, I’m still clicking away at the camera getting all that I can until…
Spotted! Drat!
Either way, nine years has passed since we married, well, nine years in about four months anyway.
The heat hasn’t died down. The “seven year itch” was never experienced and I still find myself lucky to be with such an amazing man who takes me as I am. Even though I have a flaw or two he puts up with it and loves me all the same.
Some people wait a whole lifetime for love like this. I just have to look to my side for that special love that comes once in a lifetime.
For that I am thankful for everything I have and the life that I breathe.
Ladies, I know that when your boyfriend or your husband starts complaining that something hurts you usually shrug it off because let’s face it, men are the biggest cry babies.
I am just as bad when it comes to my husband. He whines something got cut and I say “aww” but think, what is it a sliver?
So the other week was no different when he came home from Karate and tells me how he hurt his foot and was limping on it.
Here we go again I figured.
One night after I got done with my shower I walked into the room to find him taking a picture of…his toe. It looked like this:
You can imagine that I felt pretty darn bad for doubting him..again.
Last time this happened he had the stomach flu and ended up on bed rests all that day and was throwing up.
Get over it I thought. Of course until I had to take care of him in bed!
His toe is better now.
The only problem is that he uploaded that picture on Flickr next to my gorgeous cupcakes!
The nerve!
Please note, although the picture of the nasty foot is near the cupcakes, the foot did not go near the cupcakes!
Nope. I didn’t magically get pregnant, not tell anyone, have the baby and keep it a secret!
My sick baby is of the adult kind. Poor Jamie is sick. He’s been sick all day and I’ve been playing Nancy Nurse.
I hate playing Nurse. I’m not compassionate enough for it. To be honest, I thought this morning he was putting it on a little more than he was sick. I was wrong! He went up to the dollar general and store to get dog food with my sister and she came home carrying the dog food.
I knew something was up. He usually wouldn’t let anyone carry anything as long as he is there. She said he was vomiting the whole way home. Poor guy. He crawled into bed and had a bucket by him all day. Might I add, he has used that bucket off and on all day.
My little brother has the same thing. He stayed home from school.
Here’s hoping tomorrow is better! That way I can actually get some damn work done!
I know. Don’t judge. I’m no nurse I tell ya!
I can officially say that I am so tired of the weather. I am tired of it being cold, no freezing. I want Spring to come already so it will be a little more bearable! I’m mostly thinking about working bearable!
Thursday was a pretty exciting day for my brother and husband. They were trying out for their yellow belts in karate. Of course we went to go watch their promotion.
I will tell you, I will not ever say in my head that he is putting it on when he comes home from karate and says that he is tired! We sat there for nearly (or was it over?) two hours while they tried out. They had a tiger club karate class promoting as well. They were adorable! When I have a kid it’s going in karate for sure.
I took pictures but for some reason the quality was horrible. Oh yea, I didn’t have the flash on. Pfft.
Here’s one of Nick during it:
Here is one of Jamie during it:
So cute! I could eat them up!
The Renshi Barrier, I think that’s how you spell it, is the guy in the second picture standing by the pole. He’s a fifth degree black belt and let me tell you, he looks mean! But, I bet he is a fantastic grandpa!
So yea, I’m pretty proud of them! They’re now both yellow belts. Yay!
Oh one more thing, I joined the likes of Twitter. Come follow me. Have I said I joined Twitter before? Oh well if I had..I’m saying it again!
Okay. I guess I have to sleep sometime! Night all!
Well, when Jamie was filling up the pool I do believe that a good majority of that water went everywhere else and not in the pool. With all the spraying at Nick (above) and the dogs that pool could have been filled four times! I thought these pictures of Nick were really cute! Of course both times Jamie was spraying him down!
