Having Duncan has taught me something (yes, in the almost three months I’ve been a mother), and that is to look to the future. Sometimes it is something you want to look at and sometimes it is something you don’t want to but have to look at, such as the best life insurance.

I think that being a parent makes you realize that you aren’t immortal, that you do have to think about where your kids are going to get your funeral funds nsw when the time comes, and what is going to happen after that. I hate thinking about it but you know, there are some things you just have to bite the bullet on.

This is why I am thinking about hanging up my “self-employed” title after Duncan weans and is on solid foods and getting a job outside the house. Maybe just a part time job but more than likely a full time job. Our business at home is growing well but we want to be able to do more with it and need more money then what the business brings in. So, a job I shall get in a year or so. That means I’ll have to start looking into income insurance so if something happened to either the job or business we won’t be up a creek without a paddle.

I sure do hate to swim!

It would be really nice for the economy to go back to what it was pre-recession time. I know a lot of people are wanting that and that everyone is basically hurting for money and you can’t spend excessively anymore because you never know when the next Outer Banks foreclosures is going to be.

However, it would be nice to be able to spend a little frivolously again. Ahh, I enjoyed the days when I could do that. Want something? Grab it. Although I will say that it is definitely getting better and that I can’t wait until it’s semi back to normal.

You have to admit, unless you have some kind of never ending supply of it, money sucks.

Yea it can get you things you want. Making it is pretty neat and of course when you have some extra of it, it works good.

However, when you don’t have it and you have to worry about it, that’s when it starts sucking. Right now, we’re going through a tight spell. I’m trying my hardest to get out of it. With the economy the way it is it’s harder and harder to do that. Of course, I could take a cue from late night television and get on board with some crack-pot mesothelioma lawyer and try to get a quick buck.

Unfortunately, I like to make my money the honest way. Anyone wanna donate to my “I’m a sucker” fund?

Of course it will all get better and start working out. I’m actually just hoping I don’t get pregnant in between trying to work out the money issues. Then I’ll really have a melt down.

Oh yea, I don’t have to worry about that. I’m sterile!

Oh April 15 how I hate you. We procrastinated on our taxes some this year due to the overwhelming amount we have to pay.

Why do we have to pay so much? We’re self-employed and I am an independent contractor. Translation, we didn’t put back money to cover the taxes we knew were coming because we like to make the “O” face when the bright red number pops up.

Not only that but I need to really get my butt into gear and work. I need to figure out a schedule to make sure I make my daily goals so we can bang this money out in the four months they give to pay.

And on top of that the warmer weather is slowly creeping in which means I have to stock up on Frontline for the dogs and a mattress cover for my mattress so those nasty dustmites don’t come chomping away at my flesh this year.

I’m determined to get it before they begin their feast! Which means I have to do it soon.

However, it is only money and it is only taxes and then it is only a few bug bites. At least we have our health, love, and dogs to keep us in check!

Anyone attend a tea party today?

Jeremy's got that paper!

After Shaina and Mom went to the store Jamie and I heard Jeremy downstairs talking up a storm. We figured we would go down there and harass him while he was in a good mood.

Jeremy's got that paper!

Shaina had her wallet in there with him since they used the stroller and I took some of her money out and gave it to Jeremy! Yea, yea! Money is dirty.

Gotta build the kids immune system somehow! So we got a couple cutie shots of him holding his money!

I swear I got the cutest nephew ever!
