Kung Fu Panda is a very cute story of a hero in an unlikely character. In this case a Kung Fu Fighter in a big clumsy panda named Po. Po has dreams of becoming a Kung Fu fighter while his father has dreams of him becoming just like him. A noodle cook.
The voice cast for movie is all star and set out for a hit! There are big names such as Jack Black, Dustin Hoffman, Angelina Jolie, Lucy Liu, and a number others. You can see the actors in the characters themselves which I enjoyed a lot. The movie had a good moral and a lot of good sayings in it. One which Oogway said I loved. It went, “Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift. That is why it is called the present.”
This is a movie that adults and children alike could really get into. Adding this to your home collection when it comes out would definitely prove to be a good decision!

Over the past week or so I have been watching a lot of movies. I am going on a movie kick for some reason but that’s okay. I get more work done while I watch a movie than anything else. So, over the weekend I watched The Strangers.
The Strangers was said to be one of the most frightening movies in awhile. It started off with a young couple played by Liv Tyler and Scott Speedman arriving home late at night. Both visibly upset from some prior events in which you never really see anything but bits and pieces of it. Enough to fill in the blanks. Soon after arriving at the mans parents house begins the events. A young woman comes to the door asking for a person that didn’t live there. Then things began to happen such as items becoming missing, noises from outside, and all that jazz.
The basic jest of the story is, is that even if your doors are locked and you feel safe in your own home you truly are not safe. Unfortunately, I found this movie to be totally and utterly boring. It starting quite abruptly and ended the same. It was very predictable and not scary in the least to me. The creepiest thing about this movie was the masks on the face of the people.
If you went and paid money to see this movie I am truly sorry! This is definitely not a movie I will be watching again!

National Treasure really opened a new door for people. It gave you a look into American History that you already knew about but might not have thought too hard of. It brought you the “behind” the story. It was not all fun and glory and sometimes there was more to it than meets the eye.
National Treasure: Book of Secrets was the same way. True to its form it offered you the history as well as the action that the first movie had. The cast was all the same as the last movie which was a nice thing to see. Nicholas Cage was as good as ever. The movie wasted no time in getting into the history aspect of the movie and brought you to locations that are quite familiar. The locations were the Oval Office as well as the Queens office and even took us into a secret area under the White House.
Not much can be said about the storyline without giving much away but I will say this, it similarly follows the first movie. Not being disappointed by watching it though, I had a blast and even learned a few things. If you liked the first movie you will definitely enjoy this one.

I had forgotten all about wanting to see this movie until yesterday when I saw it. The Ant Bully has a great moral to the story and is really well done. It is a movie which is about interspecies harmony. Putting the insects and animals view in perspective.
It begins with a boy that appears to be a bit nerdy and small. His name is Lucas. He gets picked on by the neighborhood bully so in turn picks on the smaller things that he is able to. In his path is a colony of ants. In which he uses lines which his bully used on him and is pretty much ruining them because he is bigger than them.
Until one day, one of the ants prepares a potion which turns in small, the size of an ant. The Queen Ant then sentences him to stay small and to live with the ants. How is he able to return to normal size and go home again? He must become an ant. Lucas learns the way of the ants and learns how they all depend on each other for the survival of their colony. You learn that the ants have a very fascinating way of life.
They deal with all sorts of obstacles such as food, getting along, other insect attacks, as well as The Exterminator which to them is like the devil. With just cause.
This movie was adorable and had an excellent moral. I have yet to find an insect computer animated movie that I did not like. They teach kids and adults alike a great moral. Yet another movie I would love to make an addition to my home collection. My list is getting quite long.

We have all heard of the story called “Horton Hears a Who” by the late Dr. Seuss. In 2008, the movie was released for this story. The story is a computer animation and was done very well. With well known celebrity voices such as Jim Carrey, Steve Carrell, Carol Burnett, Will Arnett and a lot more, this film was set for success.
Directors Jimmy Hayward and Steve Martino did an excellent job keeping this in Dr. Seuss fashion. There were the rhymes that are all accustomed to off and on. The story was really good and it is a fantastic family movie. Heck, even if you don’t have kids I would recommend watching this movie. Horton was very animated (for lack of a better word) and funny as was the Mayor of Whoville. I think the colors of the jungle which all the animals lived in as well as Whoville were so beautiful.
In the beginning, I was not sure about watching this movie. Now that I have seen this movie I want to add it to my home collection. Everyone loves Dr. Seuss and this movie would have made him very proud.
