Tomorrow is another doctor’s appointment in the morning. This is a follow up for my high blood pressure on Tuesday. I am really hoping that it was just a one time thing and nothing horrible is going on with the pregnancy.

I would be lying if I said I wasn’t worried about it but so far it’s only been once and I am not trying to worry too much just yet.  I have not gone to Google to see what could happen during the pregnancy as I will cross that road if I come to it. Of course I won’t be Googling it because that just always leads to the worst circumstances!

So, here’s hoping that we’re just wasting our time tomorrow morning!

bloodpressureSo, here’s yet another pregnancy related post. I should just change my website to the “All Pregnancy Network”!

We went to the doctor’s today as we had a normal check up. Everything went alright, I put on some weight (6 pounds I think! geesh) so I didn’t hear about how I need to be gaining weight and all that good stuff.

The problem this time was that my blood pressure is high now. It’s 148 over something. I didn’t catch the second number. I think it’s the 148 that they’re concerned about.

Jamie asked if it could be stressed related and they said yes but if it is pregnancy related they need to catch the cause of it. It shouldn’t be pregnancy related just yet.

So, guess what we get to do? We get to go back to the doctor’s on Thursday just so they are able to take my blood pressure again. Hopefully then it will be back to normal. Ugh.

Of course this month is going to go by quickly if I have to keep going to appointments when there isn’t something to do holiday oriented!

Well, we had our ultrasound this morning. The good news is that the baby is measuring great and that all the things they were able to check out are good. The real reason of the ultrasound at 19 weeks was to check on the cyst which is now 8cmx5cm which has gotten a bit bigger, or is just a different shape due to the expanding baby!

The bad news? The baby played stubborn and kept his/her legs shut tight and wouldn’t have anyone looking at the bits! Not to mention the umbilical cord was also between the legs! The doctor came in to have a look at the cyst and gave finding the gender a try. He said that he thinks he saw labia but didn’t want to say girl in case it was testicles! So, he says he is leaning towards girl but not certain at all.

More good news though is that since they want to keep an eye on the cyst size we get an ultrasound every month. The lady said that next ultrasound we may even get to look at the baby in the 3D one. Although, I find the 3D ultrasounds a bit creepy looking, it would be kind of neat to see our own baby like that.

We haven’t got the images from the scan up yet but once we do I’ll post them of course!

Now, it’s the countdown until January 5th when our next ultrasound is. Although I’m sure December is going to fly by with the holiday and all that! On to tomorrow, the doctor’s appointment where hopefully I don’t get yelled at for not having weight gain if there is none. The baby is weighing in at about 9 ounces right now! So all is well.

boy_girl_symbolsTomorrow is the day we’ve been waiting for since around August 18 when we found out the great news of our pregnancy.

That’s right, it’s the second ultrasound, the one where, if the baby isn’t being shy, we can find out the gender!

So, the question is boy or girl? Of course we don’t care either way. Never have and it’s not going to change! In Jamie’s words, “All I want is a healthy baby with one gender!”

So, tomorrow at 9:40am we get to go in and see the tyke for the second time. We’ve been counting down since we got our date at the first ultrasound. 7 weeks has flown by and I can’t believe we’re already here!

Nervous? Oh hell yes I am. Hoping everything is fine with the baby. Hoping my cyst didn’t get bigger so it is left alone. It would be fantastic if it just went away actually!

This Thursday we will be officially at the half way point, 20 weeks. Mind blowing to say the very least!

cribsetYes, I have turned into one of those websites. All I talk about is baby stuff. Hey, guess what, I don’t care!

So onto the good stuff. I’ve shown you the crib we’re getting and now I am going to show you the crib bedding set we’re getting.

This is it! Winnie the Pooh Days of Hunny set. We’re not getting everything in the picture but the comforter, sheet, bumper, and the dust ruffle. Why does a baby need a dust ruffle? Heck, I hate dust ruffles on my own bed, that’s why we took it off!

I love Winnie the Pooh and have been looking at this set since before we tried getting pregnant. The sheet is adorable up close. It has little bees and honey combs. I love the colors and that is unisex. Of course there are gender specific sets that are cute but you just can’t beat Winnie the Pooh!

Oh yea, one more week until the ultrasound! Woohoo!
