cribsetYes, I have turned into one of those websites. All I talk about is baby stuff. Hey, guess what, I don’t care!

So onto the good stuff. I’ve shown you the crib we’re getting and now I am going to show you the crib bedding set we’re getting.

This is it! Winnie the Pooh Days of Hunny set. We’re not getting everything in the picture but the comforter, sheet, bumper, and the dust ruffle. Why does a baby need a dust ruffle? Heck, I hate dust ruffles on my own bed, that’s why we took it off!

I love Winnie the Pooh and have been looking at this set since before we tried getting pregnant. The sheet is adorable up close. It has little bees and honey combs. I love the colors and that is unisex. Of course there are gender specific sets that are cute but you just can’t beat Winnie the Pooh!

Oh yea, one more week until the ultrasound! Woohoo!

I do believe that we have come down to the crib that we are going to get. Jamie, of course, says as long as it’s somewhere to put the baby to be warm and happy then he doesn’t really mind so much. We’re going for cheap, sturdy, safe, and pretty. So, we might have found it!

The picture above is it. It’s an Espresso Graco Lauren 4-1 crib. I saw it in person at Target and it is even more gorgeous in person than in the picture.  So, I’m pretty sure this is the one!

It’s going to look great with Winnie the Pooh in it! 12  more days until our ultrasound!

Well today was it! The first scan for the baby and let me tell you I was very nervous about it. I was scared that she was going to put the thing on my stomach and then tell me bad news.

I got all worried for nothing though as once she put the wand thing (don’t know the name) on my stomach there popped up baby!

Ultrasound: 12 weeks 2 days

She did her measurement thing and all was well. Everything looked great! Two legs, two arms, one head, ten fingers and ten toes were all accounted for!

Ultrasound: 12 weeks 2 days

When we first got in there she had asked if we brought anything to record on. We weren’t told about this so she popped one of their discs in and recorded the whole thing for us to bring home. I thought this was quite awesome as now we have the ultrasound pictures as well as a DVD of it all. The video can be found:

This little baby was bouncing all around in there. I am not looking forward to the karate kicks this kid will be jabbing into me. Okay, I am a little…a lot! It’s going to hurt though. Those little legs and hands were going, going, going!

They did find  a cyst on the left ovary though which she said was the size of a golf ball and they have to keep an eye on it. Due to this cyst they scheduled me another ultrasound at 18 weeks. That is on November 30. Hopefully by then they can also tell us the gender. I’m not sure how these things work but I don’t see why they wouldn’t.

How exciting! In about six weeks, a month and a half away, we will know whether there is Audrey in there or Duncan.

And now the countdown begins!!

We are now in single digits coming into the day for our very first ultrasound. Exciting!

Another exciting thing is that the weather is actually nice today. Unfortunately, by the time the 12th rolls around it’s going to be back in the 5o’s and raining. Of course.

Oh well, I do like the rain and cooler weather. As long as the ultrasound goes good, I’ll be fine.

It feels like Christmas jitters when you’re younger. You just want it to get here, you count down the days, of course it makes it go slower but you don’t mind.

I do mind! Hurry!

Did you notice the layout change? It’s simple. I love it.

Weather wise this summer/fall has been pretty non-existent. I feel like I’m back in California where we had two seasons. Summer and winter. I think summer this year lasted for 2 weeks. Half of August we spent in sweaters. Now in October we have heaters running and 50 degrees feels like 20.

Imagine in a month or so we’re going to be in the 20s and hoping for 30-40 degrees. I just can’t believe it.

I also can’t believe Christmas is almost here. I know, I know, no one wants to hear it. I sure don’t want to think about it. I love the holidays but love them more when I have money!

On other news we now have nine days until our first ultrasound. The doctor tried to hear the heartbeat with the doppler for the second time and couldn’t find it. Of course, from what I’ve been told by family and online, it is way too early. They tried at 8 weeks as well. What is the baby the size of? A raspberry. Throw that onto I’m not a small woman and how the hell do you expect to find that itty bitty heartbeat?

Of course at 11 weeks when they tried I got kind of upset. They want us to come in on the 8th, 4 days before the ultrasound. We’re going to call and tell them we have a flat tire and can’t get out there. I don’t want to sit there a week later and not hear it and get upset. What good is it going to do 4 days before the ultrasound?

Waste of gas it would be! Considering it is about 45 minutes drive. Pssh.

Now depending on where you look the baby is the size of a lime or a fig. Who knows which of these sites are correct but it’s amazing how fast they grow.

If only I could get some of that pregnancy heat that people talk about. Then I’ll be good…
